Beautiful atmosphere, relaxing music, spacious dining area with comfortable seating and romantic yet bright lighting. Great for gatherings with family and friends or a quiet dinner for two. Service was top-notch, attentive and polite, very professional. The fresh noodles and duck sauce on the table was fresh and delicious as was our choice of appetizers and entrées. The shrimp fried rice was enough for four people to share. Shrimp was fresh and tender. Sushi was equally as delectable. They offer lunch specials, and takeout too. Prices are average for the area and their convenient parking lot is large. We will be back!
Great place to eat Asian food. First time here and we are happy to take the ride from Nassau county on a Saturday night traffic to try this restaurant.
Delicious food. I ordered noodle soup with duck and veggies for my main meal and had yellowtail sushi for my appetizer. Everything was so fresh and tasty and nice presentation. Will certainly return. Atmosphere was peaceful and eloquent and service was top notch. Went back to order the Peking Duck very tasty but too salty.
When there to have a nice dinner, and I was generally satisfied. The food is not bad, as they offer immense amount of options. Desserts were fabulous. They serve Chinese food is French style, which is a new experience for me. The environment is pretty nice, except for the music, which have no pattern and is probably all from playlists called “chill music for restaurant” or so.
We've been coming to Moonstone for years. We've brought our entire family to enjoy the delicious meals served here. This had been a place we loved & recommended to others & brought large family gatherings to enjoy (note past tense, I cannot recommend this place any longer). Tonight, we were 'shorted' on our meal. We ordered a 2.5 pound lobster, but a lot of it was missing when presented at the table. There were several claw parts that had no lobster meat at all. There was very little tail - only 2 pieces that could be a part of the tail ( the manager claimed the tail had been chopped into 4 pieces). Given the size of the 2 pieces that could have been tail sections, there should have been 6 with a 2.5 pound lobster. 2 waiters and a 'manager' claimed it was a whole lobster, which it clearly was not. We've had lobsters of that size and they overfilled a serving platter & was more than enough to feed two people. On the good side, the ginger sauce was spectacular! ! ! The service was prompt and efficient as usual, but the lack of concern for our dissatisfaction was so different from any of the other times we have been to this establishment. I don't know what changed, but this is no longer a restaurant I could recommend. The worst part was that the waiters and the manager gave no credence to our complaint, as if they did not care what we thought. If I come back again and have a better experience, I'll be certain to sing the praise loud and clear. I truly hope that happens!
Pretty nice looking place overall. The food all tasted fresh which I liked. Everything was good and of decent quality. Would definitely go back, the menu is quite large making it hard to pick.
Came here for dinner with family. Food was amazing and staff were friendly. However I ABSOLUTELY recommend getting a reservation cause this place can get packed. Although there are many people here, it’s not too loud and you can still talk and hear others around you. They have a wide range of selections for Asian food and there are sections that are specifically labeled such as “from the sea” “from the land” and “from the sky” indicating the type of animal which you will be consuming. There are a couple of options for the vegetarian folks but there isn’t a huge selection so if you’re vegetarian I recommend you pass. If not, you gotta come here the food is great and you will not be disappointed.
The food at Moonstone Restaurant is really delicious. Everything tastes well-prepared with fresh ingredients and great attention to detail. The quality is very consistent, and the overall dining experience was excellent. I would definitely come back again.
